Rough Musick, Superstition, and Fiction River

by JoslynChase in New Release

Magazine cover Fiction River, SuperstitiousHi, all! I’m excited to announce I have a short story, “Rough Musick,” appearing in the latest issue of Fiction River magazine! The issue is titled, Superstitious, and contains a lot of great stories by writers like Kristine Kathryn Rusch, M.L. Buchman, and Annie Reed.

Based on the issue’s theme, you can probably guess “Rough Musick” is about superstition. I researched some fascinating beliefs surrounding mining communities in seventeenth-century Cornwall, where superstition controlled so many aspects of life. Those overriding superstitions nearly destroy the life of Kesten, a young peasant girl. Can she can break free, seizing vengeance, redemption, and the chance for a new life?

Grab this latest issue of Fiction River, and get more story into your life!
